Lutheran Air Recognized for 1000th Patient Transport

A community resource that provides regional patients fast access to high-level healthcare has reached a big milestone. Lutheran Air transported its 1000th patient April 3.

Lutheran Air made its inaugural voyage to the hospital May 4, 2004. Since that day, the flight team has transported patients to and from locations as far away as Chicago, Cleveland and Kalamazoo. Lutheran Air’s service area reaches 150 nautical miles from the hospital. Most flights occur within a 50-mile radius of Fort Wayne.
